Hygrophilous plant 10 - 35 cm high, stoloniferous. Smooth cylindrical stem; linear radical leaves. Single terminal inflorescence, which becomes a voluminous white bow when ripe. Fior: VI - IX. It grows in damp peat mountain places on poor calcium soils.
